Semi-double, the plant may produce a double flower when fully grown. The large flower opens rose pink with petals slightly frosted at the edges. The pigmentation is more pronounced in cool spring climate and the flower may show a deeper, nearly violet shade. Broad outer petals surround rows of segments that grade successively smaller toward the center cluster of yellow stamens. The attractive flower is of good substance and a pleasing, well-tailored form. The bush is vigorous and a dependable bloomer with ample color on a substantial, tall bush. The flower is presented relatively high above the foliage canopy. Tall stems spread with the heavy blooms and need support when flowered in the viewed landscape. The bush is well-covered with glossy, deep green foliage. Leaflets remain green well into summer here in NW Missouri. It is an eye-catcher in the cut flower garden and furnishes fine stems for the vase.
