Single, medium sized flower opens bright magenta in cool climates, otherwise deep red with a clean pigmentation throughout. Two rows of broad, cupped petals surround a yellow cluster of stamens centered by pale carpels with conspicuous magenta red stigmas. Inflorescence inodorous, staminal disc presumed absent, stamens sterile, gynoecium is of normal form but presumed infertile, no seeds. One flower per stem. It is an apparent sport of P. ‘Roselette’, the specific epithet was named recently so it has been in distribution under field name designation prior. Good plant habit, quite vigorous and good grower. A dependable bloomer with ample color on a large, semi-dwarf to medium height bush. Bush holds together well, self-supporting stems generally do not require support. It is a great choice for the early perennial border.
