Fragrant, semi-double, medium size flower opens radiant, deep orange to fire engine red. The pigment is of exceptional brilliance and durable color. The flower is without markings and does not pale until petals drop. Multiple rows of broad, well-formed petals surround a large boss of yellow, pollen-bearing stamens, in center quite inconspicuous, pale carpels with pink stigma. The gynoecium is of normal form and fertile, will set seeds. The nicely tailored flower is of exquisite form and substance. Very good plant habit, vigorous and fast growing and a very dependable bloomer with abundant color on a medium height bush. Thick, erect stems well covered in semi-glossy, deep green foliage. Long, straight stems carry the flower near the foliage canopy. Holds quite well against inclement weather and stake only if found necessary. A variety that is amongst the best landscape varieties currently available. An outstanding choice for the sunny border and the living garden.
