Full double, very large flower opens rich, deep red throughout, the pigment is durable and the color does not fade. Broad outer petals, the segments grading narrower and longer inward; petals are in-curved, slightly wavy and of extraordinarily heavy, waxy substance. Generously finished with petals, the flower is of high silhouette, globular form and of excellent substance. One flower per stem, occasional side-buds provide breeding options. Excellent plant habit, vigorous, good increase, and dependable bloom; grows a large, medium height bush. Very strong stems, erect, flowers are displayed close to the bush, stand up well, no support needed. One of the most advanced peony cultivars in achievement of desirable landscape characteristics. The plant shows well in the perennial border and yields fine stems for the vase.
