Bomb double, large flower opens blush, fading to snow-white when mature. The inner segments are narrow, twisted and margin notched, forming a ball that sits on a saucer of broad outer petals. The flower is much like P. ‘Mons Jules Elie’ and the form can be equally variable. Overall, it is an attractive, well-proportioned flower with good substance. Flower buds open reliably, contributing to the overall good cut flower qualities of this variety. The flower’s name was derived by the flower shape which is reminiscent of a snow-covered mountain. The bush has a satisfactory plant habit, vigorous, of good increase, and dependable bloom. It produces ample color on a tall bush within a few years of planting. The flower is borne on long stems above the foliage. The stems sag when in open flower, especially when exposed to rain requiring support in the viewed landscape. The deep green leaves are well formed and remain healthy throughout the growing season. This variety yields fine cut stems for the vase making it a desirable specimen for the cut flower garden.
