Description

The full double flower opens in rose red shades. The pigment is more pronounced and retains its brilliance longer, in cool spring climate. Upon opening pigments are clean and even, fading to lighter rose shades veiled silver, appearing frosted in the sun. The large outer petals enclose many layers of segments toward the center, forming a large, dome shape bloom. It is a well-tailored, formal peony flower that is of heavy substance. The plant is a strong grower in our Midwest climate, exhibiting a satisfying plant habit. The bush is vigorous and dependable with ample color on a tall bush. The main flower and side buds are presented on a very long stem well above the foliage. The stems sag with the heavy flower and require mechanical support. The bush is covered in semi-glossy, dark green foliage. The leaflets remain healthy well into fall. This variety was bred and selected for its superior cut flower qualities and furnishes fine stems for the vase. It is a professional grade cultivar, an appropriate choice for the cut flower garden and a well-regarded cutter for the florist industry.
