The single, medium size flower opens in shades of lilac. Two layers of smoothly cupped petals surround a cluster of yellow stamens. The pigments are quite stable, and the color loses little of its intensity with age. The substantial bush exhibits an excellent plant habit. It is vigorous, fast to increase and produces a lush, verdant bush within a few years of planting. It is a prolific bloomer, covering the plant in a riot of color. The blooms are carried near the canopy of the dark green foliage. The leaves remain attractive for most of the growing season well into fall. Self-supporting, strong stems are erect, and the bush holds its shape well against inclement weather events. Staking is not required under normal growing conditions. It is an outstanding variety for the flower garden and is particularly effective in mass plantings.
