Japanese, large flower opens medium pink, paling to lighter pink shades in the sun. Two rows of large outer petals surround a cluster of yellow-edged, pink staminodes. The cluster is accentuated by red-tipped carpels at the center. Side buds extend flowering. This mildly scented variety is of spreading plant habit, vigorous, forming a large clump within a few years of planting. It is a reliable bloomer with abundant color on a sizable, medium height bush. Stems spread when in flower and support depends on placement in the garden. The bush is well covered in deep green foliage which remains healthy and attractive for most of the growing season, well into fall. It is a gorgeous variety, well suited for the perennial border and the cut flower garden.
