The fragrant, double flower opens medium pink. The pigment is most saturated in the depths of the flower and lightens outward to the tips of the petals. The medium size flower is well-furnished with segments. Broad guard petals surround layers of segments that grade narrower toward center obscuring a remnant cluster of pollen baring stamens and a set of light green carpels. The nicely tailored flower is of dome shape and of notable substance, especially so for an early flowering double. The bush has a good plant habit, it is vigorous and of good increase, growing a sizable clump within a few years of planting. The dependable bloomer produces ample color on a compact, semi-dwarf bush. One flower with several side buds per stem prolongs the bloom season. The strong, short stem carries the flower near the foliage imparting a harmonious balance between flower and bush size. The stems are self-supporting and the bush holds its form well against bad weather events. The leaves are glossy, deep green and quite large, almost oval. The foliage holds up well through the summer, lasting nearly the entire growing season. Altogether an adorable peony and a fabulous specimen for a front row spot in the sunny border.
