Description

Japanese form, loose double on mature plants; medium size, flower opens hot rose red, the pigment is of exceptional chromatic intensity, the strong color draws the eye from a great distance. Rows of petals surround a collar of pale yellow staminodes, centered by a tuft of segments, color and composition suggestive of an artesanías art piece. Many side buds extend the bloom. Very satisfying plant habit, vigorous and a good grower, a dependable bloomer with abundant color on a generous, medium height bush. Dark green leaflets on self-supporting stout stem, carry flowers near the foliage canopy, support depends on placement in the landscape. Foliage remains attractive for most of the growing season. Excellent in the landscape, good choice for the cut flower garden, furnishes fine cut stems for those seeking the unusual.
